Power of nature Meadowland Dog, for instance, is a completely grainfree dog food with a high meat content like a natural prey animal. It contains no grain at all and is very low in carbohydrates. Excellent tolerated also by dogs with special nutritional needs like grain allergies and food intolerances. Many diabetic dogs as well as overweight dogs also do very well with this food with almost no carbs.
Please note: the transition to this food should be done very carefully and slow: most people feed to their dogs foods with a lot of carbohydrates and vegetable proteins containing only a little meat protein which very often is low-quality. Meadowland Dog is VERY rich in meats and proteins (which is good for a carnivore); therefore the body needs some time for the transition! Please feed just about ¼ of the new food mixed with ¾ of the old diet for the first 3-4 days. Then increase the amount of the new food slowly for a period of 4-6 weeks. Avoid overeating.
